Hurricanes Helene and Micheal were very serious hurricanes with life-altering effects for many. They destroyed valuable items and homes, along with 285 lives lost during the hurricanes, tearing apart many families. Christmas this year will be difficult for many hurricane victims, but people are ready to help this holiday season by organizing food drives and more.
If you and your family or someone you know are struggling to prepare and enjoy the holiday this season there are many places to go, for instance, Tarpon Springs Shepherd Center, they offer food and typically close around 4:45 pm and open at 9 am. The address is 304 S Pinellas Ave, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689. Another place that will help is The Salvation Army Social Services center, they offer more than food , their hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. They have an Adopt an Angel program where you can shop for someone, or they offer Christmas assistance specific to family needs. Their address is 209 S Pinellas Ave, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689.
