Kanye West is currently facing a lawsuit from the outraged family of George Floyd after making a statement about his death in an episode of the “Drink Champs” podcast.

On the podcast, Kanye was talking about the death of George Floyd and stated that he believed that it wasn’t actually caused by Derek Chauvin kneeling on his neck.

“I watched the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put out. One of the things that his two roommates said was they want a tall guy like me, and the day that he died, he said a prayer for eight minutes,” West told Drink Champs. “They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that.”

Kanye received massive backlash from this comment but was later backed up by Candace Owens, who now feels the need to do something in this situation.

“I’m also sick of frivolous lawsuits,” Owens declared. “You know, if this is actually considered credible, if you can sue somebody because you’re feeling emotionally distressed because of them going out and saying things, well then I think that I have grounds to sue George Floyd’s estate.”

Owens then made another announcement about her lawsuit plans saying that she believes Black Lives Matters is “colluding” with the Floyd family.

“We should be able to sue Black Lives Matter. We should be able to sue the media that is clearly colluding with George Floyd’s family so they can’t bury the evidence. Nobody is going to shut up, and I will fight tooth and nail for people to see the truth.”

Matters only worsened after Kanye made his public apology to the family of George Floyd.

“I want to apologize. Because God has showed me by what Adidas is doing, by what the media is doing, I know how it feels to have a knee on my neck now. So thank you God for humbling me and letting me know how it really felt. Because how could the richest Black men ever be humbled other than to be made to not be a billionaire in front of everyone off of one comment.”
